People in Genoa eat focaccia all day from morning to evening. In the morning it is an excellent accompaniment of milk or cappuccino, according to Genoese people, or a fantastic snack. In the evening it accompanies traditional aperitivo (happy hour).
Genovese focaccia has been known since 1500. It was eaten at church, accompanied by a glass of wine during the wedding at the moment of blessing.
